Default Just a quick hello

Hi everyone, I will be moving to Jacksonville in October and will also be getting myself an 03 S2000 around the same time. I am the Navy going through training and should be out there for about a year. I currently drive a 95 Integra gs-r, autocrossing it when I can. Looking forward to a nicer city after living in Pensacola for half a year. Seems like you guys have a pretty decent little group going, hopefully you wouldn't mind an old integra following you around for a bit till I get my S.

Seems like there is a lot of car racing activity within a few hours of the city, any big racers on here or do you guys spend more time just meeting up and hanging out? I enjoy doing both, and am sure I will do a lot more of it when I get my hands on the AP1.

Hopefully I can get to know a couple of you and get right to having some fun by the time I get out there! Would love to be able to escape the military life whenever I can, since its pretty much everywhere over here in Pensacola.

Thats all I got for now, I will just continue reading way too much about s2000's and driving myself crazy as I play the waiting game.

Welcome!

There's Auto-Xing galore in and around JAX. Mostly it's with the Buccaneer Region of the SCCA, but theres a corvette club that has some choice set-ups for auto-x.

For big tracks, try Chin Motorsports. Welcome and I hope to meet you soon!

Oooooh finally another auto-x'er. Those are kinda rare around here in the s2ki JAX group. I absolutely love racing but haven't attended the past few months due to the heat (working the stations in this weather is almost unbearable).

I used to post up every time there was a new event going on with both clubs but since the turnouts were usually slim to none, I stopped. I might start posting it up again to see if we can get some newcomers in.

Come out to a meet, you'll fit right in. At least your in a Honda product *coughitsnotasaturncough*

Haha, ok me and the saturn will just be trying to keep up from the rear then, not so bad. Yeah I am definately down for lots of autocrossing, looking to get more into tracking too if I can afford it. I have dominated the STS class over in Grand Bay, AL for 3 months straight now. Its been pretty fun because only 45 people show up usually and we get like 8 runs, but I would definately prefer a larger group where I can learn from the people who should be kicking my butt. I will be looking forward to any posts about events that I can take a car to be thrashed.

Whats the average age with your group? Im 23 and just wondering what ages most people acquire this awesome car at....

I am 23! Just bought a 2000 four months ago! It all depends on what you want and how new!
