Default The King still reigns

So many thought the C63 would topple the M3.

Great Article. I cant believe how heavy the C63 is but how incredible fast it is. 0-60 in 3.9seconds!!! 12.3 quartermile. That is absolutely outrageous. But could u live with 10mpg? Anyhow, the M3 won for reasons I predicted it would a looong time ago. It has the perfect balance. Not great at any one thing but good at everything. Jack of all trades. Not to sound like a fanboy but BMW's had using this formula for 20years. So many thought the C63 would topple this car. I think not. Cant wait to read the other write-ups.

My son, you will grow once you have overcome your youthful exuberance. Yes, the BMW is a wonderful car, a magnificant one perhaps. There really are no losers in the bunch.

I suspect, however, that, for the vast and overwhelming majority of potential customers of these cars, the Audi would prove the best choice. Except for the few drivers with skills set high enough to capitalize on the BMW, or Mercedes for that matter, most drivers, if put on a closed circuit, would probably set the fastest laps in the Audi because it is the most confidence inspiring of the three cars.

One day you will bow at the alter of VW.

I agree with you. There really are no losers of the bunch but there can only be 1 winner. Did you read the article??? The Audi is not the most confidence inspiring or the most fun to drive. I did the VW thing for a while. I have no regrets about it but they need to turn the heat up in order to peak my interest.

I did read it, and I respectfullydisagree with the writing about the confidence inspiring nature of the Audi. I have only one caveat: I have not yet driven the Merc or the new M3.

I think the Mercedes looks the best, but the M3 still outperforms! Great article!
