Default looking for some new rubber

Hey all,

I'm looking to buy some new rubber for my wheels. MY02 ap1 wheels.. I'd like something thats is good in the rain, I've been extremely cautious since my last accident was in the rain, I also wouldn't want to sacrifice some nice spirited driving in the dry weather..

Would buying online be the smartest move? or maybe discount tire on 50/semoran?

Thanks all.

my choice ... Yokohama AVS ES100's. Good all around tire.
I've used them for autoX and they run great in the rain too. I just put a new set on last week and didn't realize how much i missed them until now.

My last tires were the Hankook Ventus RS2's. Good dry grip tire ... but they wear a little fast for my tastes. They also have a softer sidewall then the ES100's.

I don't remember how much I paid. I ordered them from Discount Tire Direct and managed to get a pretty decent discount beyond the regular price. Even at regular price they are hard to beat for the money. I have a friend with a shop so i mount them myself. Helps to save a few bucks.

The OEM S02 are the best...but for a less expensive tire the ES100 is a good choice. It really depends on how agressively you drive.

Make sure you get 245/45-16 for the rear if you buy anything other than the OEM S02. Otherwise you could see a good bit more oversteer.
