Lots of S2000 at Rick Case...What's going on?
Its not the 'hot' car right now. It is 4 model years old (00, 01, 02, 03). Remember the South Florida market is very finicky. Not to mention there are some other cars in the same price range coming out people might be waiting for like the WRX STI, Lancer Evolution, etc.
However there are not a lot of used one in the paper (Sun-Sentinel).

hey buddy hold on rick case does not suck ask keithd we helped him out the other day. Its that the dealer is not trying to push them out the door and we have been getting about 60 cars a day on trucks.
He works at Braman, don't be offended.
Rick Case is cool in my book!
I just wish it werent so damned far away. I need to get my race tires mounted this week, but I have no time to go down there!

Rick Case service is alrite, even though when I took my old Spa there for a simple oil change and told them no car wash, they washed it anyways. Rick Case sales on the other hand suck. When I went there last year, the salesman and sales manager didn't know crap about the S2000, other than it being a "cute little sports car" and they were VERY persistant about leaving a $1000 deposit. I found them to be extremely rude and pushy, like the typical used car sales guy.
I ended up buying my car from Braman Honda... #1 Honda Dealer in South Florida.

Well, let me throw in some of my opinions. . .
When my wife and I vacationed in Miami last September, we visited both Braman and Rick Case Honda. Had Braman change the oil in the Pilot and they did a HORRIBLE job in regards to their customer care!
The service folks at Braman Honda have no clue on how to service a customer properly. I waited with our Pilot for nearly 15 minutes before anyone asked if I needed help. I finally told a girl I needed an oil change doen and she referred me to another guy. This guy was one of the service advisors and got all of my information for the oil change that needed to be done. We are well into 30 minutes of being at Braman Honda and our Pilot is still under the service breezeway. The service advisor tells me it will be a few minutes and to check back in about 30 minutes or so.
My wife and I walk into the dealer and look at the cars in their showroom. Read some brochures, talk about what we'll be doing next on our vacation, you know the rest while you are waiting.
So, after about 45 minutes or so, I ask if my Pilot is ready. "Yes sir, it is, just pay the cashier." I go and pay the cashier $25ish dollars and she (the cashier) gives me a pink ticket that I'll need to hand over to an attendant outside in the service breezeway.
I walk out to the breezeway and I am approached by a young man that asks for my ticket. I give him the ticket and notice in the distance that they are also running the cars through a "scratch-a-matic" car wash. I tell the attendant that I do not want our Pilot run thru this machine. I had to tell him this twice. First in english and then a second time, in spanish. He understands and walks off to get our Pilot.
10+ minutes pass and he (the attendant) emerges with the same pink ticket and no Pilot. He tells me that they are just getting it on the lift for the oil change.
I could not believe it. I went to the service advisor that wrote up the order and asked him about it. He showed no care and said, "they'll have it in 10 minutes, I promise." Yeah, right, to hell with him. I walked into the side rear and asked to speak with the Service Manager. I was told by another service advisor that Alex was the Manager and that he was busy with someone in his office.
They told me this as if I cared so I walked straight into his office and asked if I could have a moment of his time. He had another employee in his office and they were laughing about something else. Of course, all turned serious when I walked in and firmly interrupted.
Alex handled the situation very well. I vented my concern and situation and asked why they advertise on a billboard that an oil change only takes 30 minutes, but I've been waiting for over an hour. He completely agreed and refunded my money for the oil change. He then walked to the service department and asked how much longer our Pilot would be. He then walked over to the service advisor and asked that he go and wait over in his office.
At any rate, our Pilot rolled out about 5 minutes later and we drove away. No issues with the service that was actually performed in itself. Everything seemed to be fine and they even added a Braman sticker to the underside of our hood for additional service and/or parts.
The next day, we drove over to Rick Case Honda and I was very impressed. The folks were friendly and welcomed us as we walked in. One of the salesman asked how we were enjoying our Pilot too. A nice touch, IMO. Overall, the Rick Case Honda store is very impressive. Looks like folks were being taken care of too.
Of course, these are two different experiences but Braman Honda is not a dealer I ever wnat to work with again. When my mother's Accord (she lives in Miami) needs to be replaced, she needs to visit Rick Case.

Yeah, Rick Case has 5 on the lot. Went out S2000 hunting again today, Maroone's lowest was $32,000 they have 2, Braman's was $32,600 and they have 5 on the lot also. (Chris has a nice car
) Guess I'll head to Rick Case tomorrow, they have the one I want anyway (Silverstone/Red) sitting there, maybe I'll have better luck with the price.
I thought I'd finally decided between the 350Z and the S but with these prices, looks like I'll buy the better value. Unless I see numbers closer to invoice, an Enthusiast 350Z is most likely where I'll end up.
