Airgate, I don't know what happen with your pilot and the oil change, but I apologize in behalf of BRAMAN HONDA. We are the 5th overall in sales and service in the enitre nation, and there is about 1,100 dealerships in our nation. Again, I apologize. Anything I can do to make your next visit a pleasent one just let me know. And If your mom wants to take her car to BRAMAN HONDA just call me first, and I'll take her to my best service advisor. I dont know. I bought from July and paid MSRP at Rick Case (plus dealer crap fees). At the time, it was the first dealership I'd seen that wasn't sticking ridiculous markups on the car, so I hopped on it. Of course, a month later I find this site, and find that people are buying below MSRP.

When I bought, I still had to wait a month to get the color that I wanted, they only had used ones on the lot to test drive. I wonder if they get additional winter allocations from some of the northern dealerships that are snowed in?

My service experiences at Rick Case Honda have been excellent. Even through several personnel changes, I've been taken care of very well. Currently, Mark is the shop foreman, technicians Neil (S2000 specialist) and Jose (alignment and tires) have done excellent work on my car. Jason is my most recent, and most enthusiastic, service writer. Several people at Rick Case (like SpoonS) own S2000s and are very friendly and enthusastic about them.

OTOH, over the past 2 years I have brought 3 people into Rick Case to purchase cars. We worked with 3 different sales people and 2 different sales managers but were unable to make a deal in any of these cases. It came down to price, Rick Case's prices were higher than other local dealerships. They do offer some value for the additional money, such as an extended (5 yr 50k mile) warrantee, discounts on service and some other items, but pricing on both S2000s and CRVs were $1-2k more than what my friends paid elsewhere. I made this point to the sales manager about 6 months ago, and she said that they could get the higher prices and wouldn't lower the prices on cars with strong market demand. Since there are 5 new S2000s sitting on the lot (1 red, 1 black, 1 Sebring Silver, and 2 Silverstone as of yesterday), maybe they are more willing to deal now.

My service experience with Braman Honda has been excellent thus far...

When I got the car, they followed my instructions to the letter and allowed me to be in the service area with the technican that was performing the PDI on it. He also installed my red H badges and helped me remove the windshield tape with no extra charge.

Then two weeks later, they called me to schedule an appointment for the spark plug update. Most dealers at this time didn't even have the update info yet.

Then I had a paint peeling problem on both bumpers and they immediately repainted both bumpers fully at no cost to me.

When I came in there last, I was immediately greeted by the service writer, Ivonne, and offered to do my oil change at no charge.

Rick Case Service may be good, but their sales department leaves a lot to be desired. Personally I HATE the used car sales mentality and the overly agressive sales tactics. When I said no I don't want to leave a deposit, I expect them not to ask me again. Well they asked and nagged me 5 more times. Put it on a credit card, leave us a check, etc. No thank you.

Chris, I truly appreciate your response to my post. Because of this, I will see that my mother calls you on her next visit for service or sales.

Thanks!

F1s2000:

LoL, not sure why most S2K owners worry about other people buying S2K's. I didn't mean to sound as if I was saying "if i don't get a new S2K for $22k I'm buying Nissan!". Just meant that I've seen them go for near invoice and won't pay much over 30k for one.

P.S. Did I mention Chris's car rocks? Who said Suzuka is a girl color?
