If any of you have ever wanted to drive your car like it was meant to be driven, it looks like MAY 20th is the day to do it.


GIR event. $100
Great track great times. You will burn through your tires and brakes here. You will leave with a better understanding of your capabilities and be amazed by your car.

Deland Auto-X. $30
I expect all the Auto-X junkies to make it to Deland on the 20th. It's only an hour 20 from JAX and even closer to Otowne. Yes the track is dusty and drifty, but the Central FL SCCA is a great organization and you are guaranteed at least four runs, with the possibility of more and Fun Runs.

GIR, the way it is set up for the BMW meet will allow you to just about reach the top of third. It will be a very fast course. There are no walls to hit, and no cones either.

This is a great chance to drive a small road course, above and beyond your abilities. 10 10ths all day long.

It's worth the drive.

When Todd and Rick play with the methanol and the new injectors I might have o come up for he next one!!!

 

We already got 3 florida members going out to the event at GIR. All we need is a few more and we can stage a Honda takeover!

 

I'm about 50% going to go at this point, I need to put a tranny in a 240sx/DET car that needs to make it to virginia for VIR in early june (plus allowing time for other prep work, tuning, fixing, etc..) so it'll depend on whether or not I can get any of that done tomorrow night... I still have saturday as well but this car has been nothing but problems so I don't expect to get it done in one day with the other misc cleanup tasks I need to do to it.
