Default Maybe moving to Deland

I have been offered a job in Deland, FL. I have spent some in Florida (Miami, Orlando, Daytona Beach, etc,) but I am not familiar with Deland.

Any comments.

I have a very good friend in Deland!
You are half way between Daytona and Orlando! Not a bad place to be, Lotsa country roads and not much large development (basically Rural) Deland still has it's country charm and you can get alot with your dollar with real estate. I say go for it!!!

Thanks,

One other thing, most of the roads that I have been on in Florida are very straight and flat. Are some of the country rodes a little twisty?

Some of the best roads are in Lake County right where you would be! Mt. Dora, Sanford and even the roads to Ocala natl. forest are great afternoon drives!

Thanks, for the info.

It looks like I will be moving on or about June 1. A few details to resolve before I accept the new job, but there doesn't seem to be any showstoppers.

Can't wait to meet some of the S2000 folks in Florida.

Bob

Give a holler when you're done with the move. Deland is a nice little college town and county seat, about 40 minute drive from me. The downtown there is a rarity, since it is still active and thriving. Nice thai place there too.
