Default Moving troubles......

So I am trying to figure out what to do. I am moving to Hawaii in August, and I know they have some pretty crazy rules for their safety inspection when you get your car to the island......

I can get away with everything I have except for my wheels. They recently removed the size limitations but I am still illegal because it sticks out beyond the fender in the rear....

I was just wondering if anyone had a good idea of how I can fix this, either a good wheel trade with someone or someone you know or someone who really knows how to roll and flare the stock fenders so that they cannot claim my wheels stick out more than 1/2" beyond the fender........

HELP!!!!

I'll trade you stock wheels for yours. Sorry to hear of your dilemma.

Can you get it inspected with stock wheels and ship the aftermarket wheels with the rest of your stuff. Then mount aftermarkets after the inspection?

why get cheap fender flares... get some nice ones that fit the rules.. cause if they stop you for some reason it's just another thing to have to explain if it isn't all 10 8 and straight...

my thoughts on they just removed the limits causes me to imagine if they made a note on sticking out being illegal.. fix the problem.. make that butt phat.. who knows next time we see that cars pic's you might be sporting some monster wide rubber... just cause it fits under the " new " fender flairs...

disclaimer.. when I lived there i don't remember any rules.. if it drove or pushed it had a tag.. and you had wait til it moved out of the way... ( water buffalo do not accellerate, don't envision they do ) oh.. and also.. ( water buffalo.. are useful for getting towed outta some sugar cane field should you slide your butt off the road and into one... )

Isn't the rule about the top of the tire? run some wicked negative camber

but ya, my vote would go out for some ASM over-fenders or something for the rear..

asm fenders 1400 bucks!!!!

Are shops able to stretch my stock fenders so they flare out a bit?

Been looking into the rule more and it turns out all wheel related things have been taken away for recon permits. The catch is they changed it to say the fenders have to cover that width of the tire tread!

This could be good anyways because I was worried about my tire clearance once I lowered the car, so I guess I just have to deal with it now, only problem is I am broke, especially when I am trying to save money for leave and the trip......
