Default My car was vandalized Friday night

Well, Friday I had off from work which is the case every other Friday. I went the beach, Shepherds, w/ my girlfriend and had some sun and beer. Well I came home about 6:30pm and just kinda crashed (passed out )

I got up the next morning about 11:30 am and went to a DVD back to Blockbuster. Well my car had the windshield completely bashed in and the hood is slightly dented and there is a small stratch down to the paint on the driver side front fender. Somebody, who I have no clue, totally F...ed me over.

I haven't been able to arrange to get the windshield replaced until Monday morning, so I wasn't able to drive the car yesterday or today. THere is glass everywhere all over the hood and all over the interior. I've had other windshields broken on other cars for various reasons and this is by far the worst I've seen.

Does anyone know a good body shop in this area where I can get great body work and paint? PLease advise...

While I had my Infiniti (G20) I had several body "issues" and I took it to James Auto Body. They handle all of Lokey Infiniti's and Mercedes's business and they do other high end cars as well. I would trust them implicitly because they have always gone the extra mile for me in the past.

Call them at : 727-210-0394 and ask for John Sikore. tell him you heard of his place through Rob the guy who brought in his G20 Infiniti and just got his S2000 and he will know who I am.

They had a clearwater shop on east bay right next to tri city plaza but it recently was dmaged by fire and for now everybody works at the Palm Harbor shop.

Hope this helps

Accidents happen, but vandalism is a deliberate act which has no excuse.

I hope your S2000 can be repaired to your satisfaction.

The scary part is that I really have no clue as to who did it...I didn't think I had any enemies. The other main thing I'm worried about is getting a good paint job. Rob I appreciate your info. Tomorrow I'm going to be dealing with the ins. claim. I already called it in but there's a specific person I have to speak to tommorrow @ the ins. company who handles issues like mine.

What do you guys think about a dent on the hood...It's pretty small but of course I not going to live with it. Do I let them try to pop it out and bondo or whatever, or demand a new hood so there's no bondo.

The other thing I'm worried about is them matching a three yr. old paint job. We all know that the Florida sun can have a small effect on paint jobs...Thanks for your opinions...

Ask for the cash to buy a new hood and then go get a carbon fiber one. I say if it's broke, it's time to upgrade. And let the insurance company pay the bill!

Hoods are usually replaced rather than repaired. You can always call Honda and ask what the "guidelines" are on repairability of S2000 hoods.

Like someone else said, take the cash and upgrade.

Unless things have changed...

Aluminum isnt repairable with bondo or pulling dents...
