you guys are killing me. todd do you know how to weld a diff??
No welding can fix a torn up pinion and ring gear. If the caps are broken welding will not hold for long, even if you could do it perfectly. It will cost you to find out.

running away from cops. i was out drifting in a parkinglot with a bunch of other drifters while i was in mid drift i saw the camera guy take off running then i saw flashing lights behind me so i slow down then i think wait i have 2 over due tickets so i just put it to the floor. came up to the first turn with 4 car lengths between me and the cop then i put about another 10 car lengths on the cop going down the straight. where my diff went is because the straight had about 4 speed bumps. so pretty much Blake 1 cops 0. i heard they described my car as a white honda accord with a big wing
2-If your diff went out with only 10 car lengths between you and the police officer, I'm surprised that the cop wasn't able to catch you.
3-NFR with a 747 tail on it being confused with a WHITE Honda Accord?

4-I'm revising my earlier score (Blake 0 Cops 1)
The new score is Blake 0, Cops 3 (broken diff, 2 outstanding tickets) and Aikman is dropping back, spots Irvin in the endzone as time runs down under 10 seconds to. The pass is up, Irvin is making a diving catch for it................................................ .......................................
TOUCHDOWN!!! The Cops win the game, the Cops win the game!
Final Score Blake 0, Cops 9 (diff, 2 tickets, and at least 6k in fines and/or pokey time in jail for Blake.
Grow up Blake, you are going to KILL someone.

I love this guy's posts. It's so easy to mees with him.
Seriously Blake, welded diffs are for budget drift cars, NOT S2000's!
Anyways, I'm with Jeff. Your LSD is probably OK, its your carrier caps that blew out. Take it to a professional to repair.

There is this real cool product called JB Weld. Its a 2 part epoxy-like product that welds metal together. If you open the top filler bolt on the diff and squirt both part "A" and part "B" in there, that should fix it.
fixed my radiator in my mini-van and saved $200+
