Need help from Orlando!
Like it says my best friend is moving to Orlando. I need help trying to find him a house to rent for a year before he buys.
He is a great guy and works for Werner Automotive Group. The dealership that he will be spending the most time at is the Kia dealership on Orange Blossum trail. He is looking for a nice development with a good private high school for his son.
Any recommendations. He will offer great deals to my S2000 friends if you are ever looking for a Kia and maybe some other brands soon.
Also he has a rare 71 convertable LS8 Corvette. 454 450 hp original car that he is looking to have a totl restoration done in the area. I tried to get him to sell it to me but no luck.
Thanks

High School the best Private one is Trinity Prep. There is a waiting list.
Bishop Moore, Lake Highland are distanct seconds IMO.
Since he works on OBT I would say good 'hoods would be Thorton Park, or Colonial Town. Winter Park is very very nice but extremely expensive and close to nothing but itself.

Trinity Prep is up in Tuskawilla out way down Aloma. If that's the school that's decided upon, Winter Park is not too far of a drive there, unless it's rush hour. To get to OBT from there would either be I-4 hell, or Orange to 441, then south through the entire town to where it become South OBT.
Down near OBT, there are some nice areas just west off kirkman, windermere, phillip morris (?), but that puts you very far from trinity.

yeah whats this guy looking to spend? i dont know how much he is looking to spend but to rent in some of the places mentioned are going to be pretty pricey...if he is planning on buying i would try to find a bargain house to rent somewhere between where he is working and his son is going to school...pick a school and then find a house thats convenient for the school and work....just my $.02
I went to Trinity and Mike went to Bishop Moore. Gotta give the thumbs up to Trinity if you want the best avenue into an Ivy League school..... or UCF :-)
When is he moving here? I know someone who's got a house being built and completed around mid-December but it's about 25 min from Trinity Prep & The Master's Academy and about 35-45 min from OBT.

I went to Bishop Moore and didnt have a problem with it. Trinity if supposed to be good as well. Its basically up to where you want to live. If he works at the KIA on OBT, he will hate the traffic in the mornings. I know most private high schools have the worst ways in getting there. Id say either live in Winterpark or Windermere.
