Guess Jeff won't be eligable for any Cabinet Level Positions either
When they build a sports car with 500hp that gets 30+ MPG, I'll buy it. Not selling my S because tax hikes increased fuel prices. (In fact I am building my wife an El Camino and never even thought about the gas milage on a ZZ4) The interent didn't take off because some gov't official raised the rates on telegrams.
You're probably atypical because you have a pick-up truck bed full of disposable income. But for the vast majority of people, tax policy will influence their behavior and purchasing decisions.

You scared me for a minute, i thought you had chosen this car over the Elise
NO! i still want the Elise! I am sure someone will give me stupid money for my Supra one day and I will get one.
I am still trying to get the S1 in the country.
As far as a truck load of money!
I wish! All my money went into S & R and I still haven't pulled any out. We have been making money but I would rather expand into the 10,000 sq ft facility and add paint and body.
Yes! I would have to buy a years worth of Priussss or is it Prieye, Just to cover the hazmat S & R's twin turbo Viper will be putting out!

It drives great. About as much power as he 2005 Corolla but 10mpg better.
The interior is really cool. She wanted cloth because of the heat on leather. The center console is the best part and the really short shifter. You push a button to put it in park.
what happens when that push button park mechanism stops working.

Jeff is trying to offset his S&R "carbon footprint"......................it's gonna take more than 1 Prius my friend
more like ........ the whole years production of Prius and insights to offset those carbon mountains
The tax credit is for domestics only and if I heard right it is 3500 for getting a new car with 4mpg better than the trade and for 10 mpg better 4500. there are qualified age restrictions on the trade in too.

It takes $4500 to make the prices equal. Prius starting at $22k and the Fusion starting at $27k. The Fusion has more power and some cool features but what happens a few years down the road. Dependability? Resale?
This cash for clunkers program has been very successful in Germany and England, who saw their domestic automakers mark incredible improvement! Hopefully the same will be true for the US.

I hope. I think if GM pulls down to one company and takes the best cars from each brand they could have a strong line up. That with some clean diesels and electric cars. Ford seems to be ahead of GM in so many ways.
