Yeah...she was purty. But comparing the two cars is like comparing a meat cleaver to a scalpel.

BTW Cole, get the locals in Tampa to get you to an autox. There is a big difference between the way a 'Lude handles and the S2k. So many new owners get bit by not knowing the limits of this car. Autox will safely teach you the limit and show you the consequences when you cross that line without damaging anything but your pride.

I guess I damage my pride quite often then...at least I have fun doing it though!

lol negcamber thats funny cause i almost mought a 97 M3. great car but at the last minute i thought about it and decided that i dont want to pay a car payment and double that each month for maintance.

so i looked at other cars within the same performance range. never thinking the S2k was even in my price range. but it happened to be =) very exciting news, and i'm happy with it! love the thing.

and yeah ur right it does handle almost 180 degree difference. my friend keeps telling me OOO DO THIS i'm like nah bro not yet idk the limit of this thing.

yeah any locals (hillsborough/tampa area) who do AutoX? i'd love to meet you and tag along some time.

thanks=)

glad to know i wont get laid again till i sell my S2k now that u own me lol. new this car was a mistake lol j/k. but unfortunatly the car has some quirks i gotta take care of.

-miniscule tear in softtop
-burning oil (i think)
-odd clicking when start up
-leaking rear tire

gonna bitch at the dealer tomorrow.

Wish me luck lol

Negcamber, your M3 was a '95 right? I had a '95 M3 too, all black, DS1 rims, Euro floaters, Bosch projecters with XTec 6000k HID's, and a few other choice toys. I do miss the torque and the engine sound, but the S2000 is more fun to drive, and top down is always best.

Cole, welcome to the forums.

Cole- Welcome to the boards. If you are noticing that the oil level is dropping over time you are correct and this is normal. Some of the more mechanically inclined can elaborate more on this.

The odd clicking when startup is normal also especially if the car hasn't been started in a while or if it is cold.

the tear in the soft top is normal too. Definitely not acceptable though.

Again, welcome to the boards. See you at the group drive! I'll probably be the only one with a personalized Ga tag.

You may need a valve adjustment. It should be done every 30K miles. Just had mine done and it made a big difference in performance. Call Todd at 2NRWerks to get the lodown and schedule it.
