Default New Part On The Car

Seibon CF OEM Style Lip. If i had to rate it out of 10 i would give it an 8. Good fitment not excellent but good. Also put a test pipe on as well. But the test pipe isnt anything special. Just excited thought i would post up! Also dont mind the dirty car. The old saying that a detailer's car is the dirtiest is o so true.

I'm curious to as whether or not there is a rubber "seal/moulding" that goes in between the top of the lip and the bumper?

Thanks,

Looks good BTW

Nope no seal. I tried making one with thin vacuum hose but it didnt allow the lip to fit correctly. So scratch that.

maybe it's the cell phone camera, but as a fellow '06 GPW owner, i'm not feeling the lip. OEM color matched seems to look better.

hey, i am all about the aftermarket, but body stuff is very subjective. this maybe one of those things that looks better in person.

as for the rubber trim piece, maybe some 3M double sided trim tape would help. assuming you never want to remove the lip.....

Sucks. My OEM-style Seibon CF lip fit just like an OEM lip. The quality was top notch and I thought it looked great. Too bad an alligator had to go and ruin it all. Now I'm afraid to buy another one because the consensus is that most don't fit well.

I know my Seibon hood fits like crap!

But enough about my problems. I like yours. The AP2 lip is nice, and I always love the contrasting dark and light colors on these cars.

Temporary thread hijack:
What's wrong with the fit of your hood? I haven't been able to find an OEM hood to buy and cut vents in, so I've been considering the Seibon CF hoods instead. I was thinking of having it painted so I don't care about the weave, etc., but I may reconsider and save myself the expense and aggravation if the fit is poor. Being a fussy old fart, it would drive me nuts if it didn't fit like OEM.

Back to topic:
FWIW, I think the black CF on white looks great. And I'm not a CF kind of guy.
