A few of those cars are rare gems....The alfa 1900 super sprint, the lotus super 7 mark IV, the 2 formula cars...the MG Magnette...some of the unidentified cars...
Unrestored that collection is probably worth 10-15 mil. Fully restored, quarter to half a big B, easy. Some of those cars are so rare, less than a handful still exist on the planet, let alone in any sort of running condition. A few in there may actually be the only ones left of their kind.
What a cool find!

I nearly died when I saw Lotus. I couldn't believe what I saw and there can't be many of those from that year left. Say, a handful if lucky?
say what ya want about the 'condition' of those cars. They are probably in better shape than the vast majority within their genre that were driven all these years.
From the way the story is told (or atleast how i translated it) it seems the new owner of the estate may not have been aware of the collection. If that's the case ... it's all 'gravy' for them.

Is "The Story" link not working? The story of the cars being an unexpected find from a bought estate is false. That's just the email story accompanying the pictures (which is where I received the pics from) and is urban myth.
The photographer who took the pictures isn't permitted to release the owner's name nor address (for security reasons I'm sure. Afterall that's one expensive collection
) but the collection owner was a car dealer back in the 70's and 80's. This collection are the cars he took a personal delight in and kept.
