The HSC looked so good, and was very well received... so they totally redesigned it and everyone hated it. Now they don't know what to do Should we mail them a picture of the HSC? Maybe they forgot...
Exactly... That's what I don't understand. The HSC received rave reviews, yet they scrapped it and brought us the ASCC, which nearly everyone hated.

i think Honda is having a hard time trying to figure out how 'pure' of a sports car it will be. With the Acura badge on it here it will probably be 'softened' with lots of luxury items. Not that it's a bad thing ... because having all of those luxury items standard will give them room (and maybe incentive) to gut one and make a 'CR' model.

If front engine layout has been finalized then I'm going to make a wild a$$ guess and say that it's going to look similar to an S2000 with a spoon style hard top but mid-size....I think they're going to make it compete, style wise, with the Jaguar XK and the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.

i think your right ... if it is a front engine car then it would change its shape to more like the XK. Not really a bad look ... but not original or anything like the original.

Where does it say the front engine layout has been finalized? I've never read anything about that.

If so...

I think it is in the mid area...notice the extension in the middle. I think the franken-S was devised to test the drive train and the suspension, both of which would be a waste of time if they did not adhere to the engine placement they were designing for.

I see the modified hardtop to be an engine cover for a mid engine placement using the S shell as an obfuscation attempt

I'm personally more anxious about an S2000 replacement. Honda breaks my heart.

why does honda break ur heart?

you wanna talk about heat brake? saturns are now 100% gm every nut and bolt, the dealers have become just like every other company, the sales men get paid commission, all of the cars have metal body panels, and even the saturn plant in spring hill tn... it was making the 2.0 supercharged and turbocharged engines, then it was scheduled to be shut down, but now they have decided to make the chevy mini van there...

now thats depressing, my car doesn't even have a home, if they could have crushed all the original saturns like they did the ev1 they would have. just scrap the damn name and call it something else cuz it sure as hell isn't saturn.
