oem hardtop

Default oem hardtop

hello

I installed an oem hardtop and there is a lot of rattling and noise coming.

I wanted to know if anybody has any suggestions or ideas on what to look for or

what I should check. thanks

Easiest try is some shin etsu grease

Check the installation manual for the h/t for the gap clearances (the gaps of the seals around the bottom) and make sure they are within Honda's specs.

Make sure the rear catchers are torqued down right. May need to replace the front catchers on the windshield though to really tighten up the fit. I was lucky and my soft top ones were enough.

Yea u prob need to put shims tomm the front bracket so it pulls the hard top down more and when u tighten the rear make sure someone is pushing down on the hardtop

If the top needs just a bit of tightening up, you can cut a 1/4 inch piece of clear plastic airline tubing, (from hardware store), and put it on the hook of the top's latch. Then, close the latch. It does tighten it up a bit.

I used heat shrink on the front hooks if the latches and seemed to help
