Hey all,
I will be in Orlando this summer for work from May to August approx. Anyway, I really like the look of the OEM vented hood, and I know a decent number of people in FL have done it, and I was wondering if anyone here knew where I could get it done. I would attempt it myself, but I'm a college student and don't have the tools or facilities to do it and don't have any experience cutting metal.
Anyway, Also thought I'd say hi to the FL S community as I'll be around all summer.

Elroy just dove in and did his recently...there are quite a few others in the Tampa / Orlando area as well.

 

I know people have been trying to get together a hood venting day or weekend here in the Tampa area. Schedules, time and money seem to pull at different people at different times.

Depending on where you are, there may be people more local to you willing to help out. We have a couple of guys with experience here in Tampa....RXDI, Elroy etc

 

Awesome, I won't be there until May, but hopefully I'll be able to take part in an event like that or get some help!

 

A bit off topic but i would like to do this along with a valve adj/retainer upgrade day.

 

Since you will be in Orlando, I am planning a Tech day this month or next month. I can do it then, keep an eye in the Orlando section for the date and time.

 

hey any chance with that tech day speedy that there will be mulderizing for folks like myself? or at least installing the clear usdm diffusers? my balls haven't dropped enough to do it myself.

Get off your sack and bake them suckers. It isnt as scary as you think. And if you F one up it is a good reason to buy AP2's.

 

i like the AP2's but im convinced that the USDM clear diffusers will look GREAT mulderized.

 

I'll try and be there. Only thing I haven't done on the car is clutch/brake fluid and a quick lesson would be helpful.
