As I posted in another thread, CarFax is next to worthless. Your insurance agent can tell you if there have been any damage claims whatsoever against the car!!!

Call him up and give him both of those VIN numbers. Save the five or ten bucks CarFax charges!

Carfax is $24.99 for unlimited reports for a month. I've used it many times. But yes, you can usually call your insurance agent and even your bank for similar info to save the money.

 

Yeah, well CarFax gave me a clear bill of health to a car that had over $26,000 in insurance claims against it.

What does that tell you about CarFax, or should I say CarFiction?
