I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone from local area is going on the S2K Run of the Dragon (Deals Gap, TN) in Sep. I believe it is 22-24 Sep.

Follow the Dragon events in the Dragonball Run forum.....

Dragonball Run Forum in the Meets and Events Forums

This past Wake the Dragon in April, which had like 175 cars registered, is the link below. Registration was $55, and well worth it for the fun. There are lots of meets listed in the Meets and Events Forum.

Last time, I went up on Tuesday for a few extra days of mountain driving.

Figure that I spent about $54 per night for lodging splitting a cabin. Registration fee $55. Add in gas, 70.53gal of high test at about $3.00/gal, 1915 total miles. (The previous event was right at 1148mi for just the weekend.) It's about 400mi to get there from Pensacola but that is highly variable, depending on the route you decide on. Figure in food and other misc. stuff.

The Official Event runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This year there were about 36 who came up at least one day early and I HIGHLY recommend it if you can.

Do the math depending on how many days you want to spend and how much driving you want to do.

Just be careful. Driving the Dragon can be worse than a crack habit.
