Default Offtopic: Need help finding appliance parts

I had a little mishap in the kitchen involving a tiny fire, in the "heat of the moment" I managed to shatter the glass top on my stove. I really rather not purchase a whole new range and was looking for places to purchase the glass top other than Sears (it's a Kenmore range).

I figure I'd give s2ki a shot if anyone knew of discount online lenders that they've used before.

Thanks for any help! It would be greatly appreciated.

kenmore is not the manufacturer. find out who made your kenmore model and then you can order it from another source. probably the manufacturer is someone like GE or Whirlpool.

http://fixitnow.com/

THE BEST!!

The DIYs are hysterical and will save you money. Links to vendors to purchase parts from. Cookie Cutter site, but the info is priceless.

Give to the Guru's beer fund.

use http://www.repairclinic.com/SmartSea...artsearch.aspx to find the parts you need.

Repairclinic.com has VERY hard to find parts. I worked my way through college doing appliance repair in our family business. Very easy to use with good diagnostics.

veg. oil landed on the heat source then went a *kaboom* and to put it out I laid the frying pan cover on top and the top exploded

Bill thanks for the two sites...they came in handy and definitely will help in the future!
