Default Oil in My VTEC pressure sensor.

While changing out my clutch, we notice oil in my VTEC pressure sensor. Does anyone know where I can get a good deal on one? Thanks.

Check around the base of the VTEC assembly where it bolts onto the head for oil. If so change the VTEC solenoid gasket first. This will be the cheapest. But it sounds to me that the VTEC switch may not be sealed properly where the plastic meets the metal allowing oil to fill the connections. Your local Honda dealer will be able to order you the part.

I replaced the gasket less than a year ago. I'll try the dealership. Thanks.

I am currently troubleshooting a similar problem. I am replacing the inner seals of my cam chain tensioner and the Vtec solenoid gasket/screen. I will report here with my results.

I think my assembly in that area is also not making the proper seal to the block.
