Default ordered a GPW 2006 today

okay guys, i posted the other day talking about moving to O'town FL on Jan 21st. i shopped the local Orlando dealers and placed an order today for a GPW. all the dealers had laguna blue, but none (only called 3) had white in stock. i ordered the GPW and got it at invoice, should arrive in early Feb.

looking forward to my first S and meeting the locals. don't laugh if i am all stock for a short time. i plan to order a x brace and a front upper stress bar first. i am all ears on other stuff.

thanks for clicking,

matt

Good deal

I've heard a few times that the fron tupper strut bar doesn't much, if anything, due to there already being a rather thick bar tying the two towers together.

Rock On ! Congrats on your new baby . Which dealer did you settle on ? Getting it at invoice is pretty good considering they've been marking 'em up slightly . We need more GPWs too , so uhh , thanks ? Seems like we're a mostly "silver" tribe here in Orlando , so it's nice to see something different once in awhile . Don't worry about being stock - I've had mine for 4 months and haven't touched her yet . But I will . SOON . Lookin forward to seeing ya' in the future . It's gonna be a long couple of weeks for you , isn't it ?

Congrats on your S.

I don't know what bar ties the top of the strut towers together but the X brace works well.

I do know that the front upper strut tower bar saved my car serious damage when a U-Haul truck hit my car doing over 50mph right at the front left wheel. If it would have been there it would have caved in the strut in the engine compatment.

That is an extreme case and I wouldn't buy it to protect from bad drivers.

My order of best mods with out boosting:

X-Brace
CAI
Exhaust
Rear end gears

Was speaking about the bar underneath the intake box (stock).

What sucks is I (GPW) am about to move away
