Default And Panducky comes through again...

First thing I purchased when I bought my car was a Rick's Voodoo countersunk shift knob, and its great...

Well today I got the chance to try one of the new Panducky knobs.
I swear you try this knob you will find yourself making an order.it feels great, great throws, smooth shifts, and just reach over and its there no problem...
My 6speed in red is on the way,for now im borrowing a prototype and i have no desire to go back to my Rick's.

Highly recommend you try this knob out,oh and it doesnt get crazy hot like the Rick's either...

Man, I'm sure it works great, but I'm not sure I could get around the looks. With it being so tall does it feel like it increases the throw at all?

Is this a joke? It looks like a billy club. Is there a quick release for that thing? If you like it...

loooooong story, and no, its not a joke.... haha!

This is one of those things thats really hard to explain... originally, we had a customer come to us wanting this sort of shift knob for his car. So, we got to making the plug, then the mold for it, and got to making some prototypes. Well we HAD to test them of course.... when i first tried it, i thought it was a joke as well... i vividly remember laughing at it, thinking about how weird it looked.

However, i put one in my car, cause i had to make sure that it wouldn't break or anything (it IS quite long afterall), and so i was forced to use it. After a couple of days though, i began to get used to it, and really enjoyed how it felt to drive with this thing. When it was time to make the part for real after testing, i took it out of my car. After driving to lunch with my Skunk2 knob securely re-installed in my car, i immediately came back and swapped it back out with the big knob... something about it just 'works'..

I don't miss gears, the shifting is smoother (due to the higher leverage on the movement), and there is "higher resolution' to the gear gates... so i feel confident about racing and worrying less about shifting it back into the wrong gear, ala 1-2-3-2...

The knob is made of a high temp, and very durable urethane plastic, and it has a solid 4130 steel core running up the center of it that is welded to the threads, so that it won't break.

Some like it, some hate it.... i love it.

Glad that you are enjoying the shift knob Nick

I've never noticed a color bleed issue... (then again, i work on cars and weld stuff, so even after washing them, they are still dirty... lol!), and no one else who has a colored one has reported any issues with that.

However, if you notice a color bleed issue, let me know and i'll take care of it asap...
