I want to change my vote for the winery. The wife will go if we go there. Depending on how long the day is.

 

OK With Jeff's hanging chad, I have the totals thus far as this:

Winery = 6
Micro Brewery = 5
oookkeeeefeee's = 1

I will give it until Jan 7 and then that's it. We have to give the victim establishment enough notice and a head count.

Until Zacksdad2 reports in (missing for a few days now) I will not be sure if he is taking point on reservations or what, so i will be accepting nominations for anyone close to that area to maybe step in and be point man/woman for making the reservations. I have no problem doing it myself either so do not feel obligated.

here is what i would like: One person from each of the spidering threads we have going to act as a liason for that area and report here with final head counts as of Jan 7th at the latest. Obviously we will have call offs and straggler add ons but we need to give the resturant ample planning to accomodate us comfortably.

Also, for ease of calculating, if you have voted in the poll dont re-iterate it in the thread. i dont know who votes in the poll and who does not so i start to think people are writing in places they should be voting on.

If you agree on Okeffe's then write that in on one of your posts but other than that just continue to ignore willie Gee LOL hahaha JK man

I have been to the winery. It's a nice short tour. You do get to sample the wines but there is no restaurant or BEER. It is rather sterile. So if you want to eat, have a BEER and really socialize, I suggest somewhere else as a final meeting place. Maybe include a short stop at Lakeridge as part of the drive. Thats just my 2 cents worth. Did I mention they have no food or BEER?

I was assuming there would be a resturaunt involved at either location. I dont drink alcohol at all so the winery would suck bad if there was no resturaunt.

I would put forth the motion that if there is no food or resturaunt gathering type location at the winery that it be considered a destination to reach after/before the meal.

Sorry for any confusion, I was just under the impression that the final meeting place be somewhere we could get a meal after driving all day etc etc.

I am not against attending the Winery but lets find a place where everybody can relax and get some food and drinks as well.

Wow . This is shaping up to be a LOOONG drive for me . Up to G'Ville , back down for the group drive , back up to G'Ville , and then finally back to Orlando . Almost like chasing my tail .

Jski7 it sound like you have one too many legs in your trip unless there is festivities back in G-ville that night.

Most were leaning toward the winery anyway, so, if we can concede the micro brewery(zacksdad2 will be devatstated but he has not been around for a few days so...) we can vote on this and then come up with a reasonable time to meet at the Winery and then okeeffeeeeeees.
