Pics of the factory heat shield cut, using the PuddyMod template system
It will look like factory Honda when finished fitment is right on

So easy that even a Caveman can do it

Awesome Puddy!
I started scratching my head: "how will I find the exact location when drilling the hole..?"

the bolts are a bi**h to install... but its in... had to enlarge the hole a bit to make it fit...

i dont think i cut the hole just right.... i only have 2mm of clearance at one point where the damper and shield meet.

other then that... etd does make a difference!

As for the hole, you can put a washer on the bolt that holds the damper to the mount on the engine and on the mount that I make. Using a washer like a shim will move the damper more to the center of the hole.
This will help center the damper in the heat shield hole you cut.

The back bolt is a Bi&$h

No kidding, "Nutserts" are your friends.

Two questions - For those of us who have vented hoods and are NA, do we really need to keep the heatshield?
If so, will the damper and Puddymod mount line up with the hole in an aftermarket heat shield, like the ARC for example?

I ran into the same problem, I think the template may be off. Although puddy's heatshield in the above pics is cut correct.

Dean, I can tell you that it will not work with the spoon provided heatshield.

Here's a pic installed btw.

Thanks, that's good to know. I guess I'll be going with one the conventional ETD mounts in that case.
