I ran into the same problem, I think the template may be off. Although puddy's heatshield in the above pics is cut correct.

Dean, I can tell you that it will not work with the spoon provided heatshield.

Here's a pic installed btw.

The template is taken off the heat shield showen in my pics. It is right on.
If you do not line it up just right it will not center perfict on your car.

A easy fix to this, is to use one or two 10 mm washers on the 10 mm bolts that hold the damper it's self, to each of the mounts that hold it in place.
That is the engine side mount and the PuddyMod mount.
The washers will shim the damper out to center it through the hole that you cut.

The install looks like it came out great Good luck with it and thank you for posting

The problem is the 2mm clearance is on the side closest to the firewall. I don't believe it's going to rub and it doesn't look bad, so I have no problem with it.

I was so pissed off over the back bolt, I could have cut it wrong. (finally got the back bolt with a long 10mm wrench under the mount holding the nut and a combination of curse words. )

Thank you for your review, it helped me with many modifications that I have made to my kit

I would like to start by saying that I can pull a motor in 3 hours.

This is not a three hour job, to install three bolts and two nuts.
A PuddyMod bracket, with the right tools, should take no longer than 30 minutes, tops to install.
I give 4 pages of instructions and a template to install the mount. There is also a picture of an installed mount to make reference to.
Like most men, I look at the pic on the instruction and toss them (LOL) but, even if you do that, it should not have been this bad.

Holes being off center or not lining up
This I take blame for, I underestimated the variance between cars and model years. I made the holes in the mount just large enough for the bolt to pass through. I should have made them a little larger to compensate for difference between one car and another.
I have had only a few that did not line up and I took care of it by exchange or by refitting the return.
Below are pics of the returned mounts in my car. You will see that they all line up perfectly.

To be safe, on all new orders, I am drilling one hole larger to allow more room for lining the bolts up.

There is one bolt (the one closest to the fender) that is a S.O.B. to get to. You will have to use a long handle wrench to get to it.
If you have someone you know with small hands, recruit there service for this bolt, it will make the job that much easer.

I'm not sure if it will, I never did try it with one. I do have a template to cut the factory heat shield if you like

Oh gosh... All this preloading stuff is giving me a headache... now I got to research about how to set that up. Thought the ETD itself was just a simple bolt and go!
