I will need a bit of schooling on this This is a first time thing for me and I did it for a friend at work that is a bit short on funds.
I was careful not to heat it to long and I ground the weld smooth on the inside of the rim and bead area. The wheel looks like a tire should mount fine and hold air. I think the rim had a bit of a bend to it before I did anything but, not to bad. After we mount up a tire and spin it on a balancer we will know how good or bad it is. I am hopping it will come out ok

I am going to spin it both ways, with and without a tire.

Tight work PUDDY believe it or not you just did your first professional wheel repair job. Wheel repair is just like body work the only difference is you're working with aluminum. Just sand it smooth, spray the color, mount the tires, balance and you just saved a lot of money without switching to Geico. Now are you ready to do mine?

If it is just a crak that is not hard to weld. If it is out of round, good luck with that.

Did you do the welding? If so you can play with my tig welder when you want.

I did the inside weld and my friend Paul and master welder did the outside He welds very pretty and I am still learning the fines of a plasma welding system
With as bad as my eyesight is and is getting I may not be able to ever do any precision welding
