Any more info? Why?
Why does she want an i-pod if she's anti i-tunes? Is she anti -apple too?
She should get another MP-3 player brand if she is against the software that is made for and supports i-pod. I've used a few different ones over the years and Apples i-tunes is the easiest to use and the most user friendly.

maybe my original post wasn't clear. she does Not have an ipod, she has a 40G iRiver mp3 player and likes it because she can just click and drag to the harddrive.
she likes the ipod for it's accesories but she doesn't like itunes, that is all, no hidden agenda.
me, personally, i think itunes is too expensive at .99 each song.

mmm I think maybe something is getting confused here. You don't have to buy music from the apple store to get it into itunes.

yes, but any mp3 audio can be added to the itunes library and synced with the ipod. I get stuff from all kinds of sources and use it on my ipod. itunes will also format other audio source material for your ipod and the transfer it. unless you have most of your material in wma format I can't see any reason for not using an ipod and or itunes.
