Default Race Header nuts.

Is there a secret to keeping my Invidia race header nuts to stay tight. Before we left for the blue ridge parkway ealier this month I check them all and they were tight but when we got back (2500 miles), I found that one had loosened itself and already fallen off. Besides Locktight is there anything else to use or do I new to just check it more often because I have the innovative motor mounts (80a) and the vibration is just loosening them faster?

Stage 8 fastners http://www.summitracing.com/parts/stg-4929 (this is just a general link so you can see what they look like, they may or may not be the proper size for the S. If you need the proper size let me know, I have a set in the garage that I can get the part number off of)
OR
Nordlock washers http://www.nord-lock.com/products/we.../introduction/

These are the two options the F/I guys use to keep the nuts secured- both with good results.

A word of advise (if you didn't do this the first time) always retorque the exhaust manifold nuts after a couple heat cycles. They will almost always loosen a little due to the expansion and contraction of the metal, and ensure to torque them in the proper procedure.

Ya I had the header on for a couple months before we left for vacation and I tightened it all down before we left.

I had the Megan header and had no issue with the nuts. I installed the Invidia header on another S and that was a issue.
You may need to make up some locking clips to hold the nuts in place.

Glad it's not just me. I love the look and sound if the Invidia vs the comptech I had. But it was the most frustrating thing ever trying to install it and I just need to get some "nuts" that will stay tighter longer. Yes I'm using the oem ones right now.

Berk header with inovative mounts here with 0 issues. Never needed re-torqueing. It shouldn't take a whole lot of torque to hold them on. Why not put a drop of loctite blue on there if its an issue?
