Race Tires
Hey guys,
I've got a set of Michelin Sport Cups for sale. 225-50-16, 245-45-16. The tires have only been autocrossed a few of times and have tons of life left. I was co-driving an S2000 earlier this year and bought this set, now that I am not driving the car, I have no use for them.
I'd like to get $250 for the set, and I can deliver just about anywhere in Central Florida- I live in Palm Coast. I'd rather not have to mail them, but if so, shipping is extra. Except payment via Paypal, cash, check, cases of beer...whatever.
SO anyone interested? They are good Autocross tires (took FTD at a local event), and good track tires, from what I hear. Please email me if you would like pictures of the tires on current condition.
Thanks,
Jason Minehart

Seems like they should be OK for street use, reading the reviews from the Tirerack website should help you out...

From my personal experience, and is stated on the tirerack reviews, they are slippery in cold, wet conditions. Other than that they should be fine for the street.

With the money you save on the tires, then you can buy a front swaybar!!
Ok- I checked out the specs on the Tirerack and here's something to note:
225-50-16
Brand / Section width / tread width
Hoosier / 9.3" / 8.8"
Kumho / 9.2" / 8.6"
Michelin / 9.0" / NA
245-45-16
Brand/ Section Width / Tread width
Hoosier / 10" / 9"
Kumho / 9.7" / 9.1"
Michelin / 9.9" / NA
SO the 225 Michelin actually is smaller width than the other brands (and I did not see any 205-50-16's), while the 245 matches up. The Michelin 225, is actually more comparable to 215. Something to think about if you are worried about stagger.
Thanks,
Jason
