Default random thread of the day

when i bought it a few months ago it looked like this:

it didnt look particularly horrible but it needed work. i put two new tires on it and rode it around just like that for a few months. the back wheel is bent so its not a very smooth ride but its smooth enough.

a friend of mine is into road racing and has quite a few bikes so he offered to take mine and give it a "tune up" and clean it up for me so itll ride a little better. so i let him have it.

i went over one day to check it out and he said if i wanted to paint it, now would be the time. so i took most of the bike home and got to work. it came out really nice and i brought it back to my friends so he could put it all back together.

and here is the end result:

it is an OLD bike so if i were to change and of the moving parts it would require replacing pretty much every moving part which would cost me a lot of money. so we're going to make it a single-speed bike that i can just cruise around on and ill probably buy a nicer new bike in the future.

im trying to find somewhere that has this seat in stock but it seems as if everyone is out of stock.

and i also have a seat post that will be painted neon green to match.

Damnit now I have to go take pics of my fixie. It's a 70's era Puch made in Japan

Aaaahh it's the dreaded single-speed conversion with all the derailleurs intact!!! Nice bike, though

badass bikes Triman. before i bought my bike i was looking at some of the more expensive ones and it was a real eye opener as to how much money some people spend on these things and what they're made out of these days. i had no idea that you could have a carbon fiber bike before i started looking lol.

after i convert this bike to a single speed, if i buy a new bike it will most likely be one of these. the brand is relatively cheap but its made up of a collection of nice parts.

^Cool...my titanium bike, as equipped, is more expensive than my carbon bike. It's harder to form than carbon. The carbon bike however has the smoother ride.
