Default replacement soft top install

Any shop around the Orlando area that anyone recommends? Has anyone done it themselves? I have to replace mine sadly, looking for light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully I can get the shop manual and do it myself, which of course I'll take pictures of and post the procedure if I get to that point, maybe I'd be biting off more than I can chew though...

You can call Color Magic and ask for Tommy, I work in a automotive svc dept and they have been doing our repair for years. Great work! 407-977-5367

Just curious. How much was the new top and how much did the place charge to replace it?

Thanks

It was like $730 OTD w/ 2 day xpress S/H from cabrio world. They would have only charged me like $400 to install, but I gave them a little extra for a favor that they did for me...

So probably $400 ... They did a great job BTW. PM me if you want to see it.

Thanks for the info guys and girls, I called the Color Magic place and the number was out of service..... I've contacted Cabrioworld and I like the price, just need to find someone reasonable in the Orlando Area to get it put on I guess. I contacted one place, and he told me that he would by the top and put it on for $2500. I might have to take me a trip down to St Pete/Clearwater and get it down there for $400. Thanks again...

So your soft top is it OEM or Cabrio World aftermarket.

Let us know how well it fits if it is aftermarket. 730 is way cheaper than new oem

Glass or vinyl rear window?

2500 sounds more right and that guy must be buying OEM top for retail or is raping you on the install. It is like a 9-10 hour job from what i have heard so it is not a quick thing by any means.

At shop prices you could be looking at 400-1000 just in labor depending on the shop

The CabrioWorld top is Canvas with Glass rear with Def.
The guy trying to replace the OEM top for 2500 was quoting 16 hours of labor and buying the top at his cost and making money off of me. I'll go with the St Pete boys on the install and CW for the top

Top got a small wear hole in it from the inside hardware rubbing against the fabric, factory honda said that they didn't know if that was the cause of it it got ripped from some object on the outside and refused to replace it. They offered $400 off if I did the repair with them. I've owned convertibles for the past ten years and never had a problem with a top before, and my s2k is 2 years old, so I'm not satisfied with the customer service in the very least. I still like the car but will never spend another dollar in a Honda Dealership.
