Default rip in soft top

I was driving out of my garage and notice a inch to 1 1/2 in rip in my soft top.
Do I have to get the whole top replace or can they repair it? What is more preferable, replacement or repair? How much will it cost? What is a good place?
I'm in the melbourne area.

Warranty, and will my insurance pay for it (state farm)?

Well, I'm not so worry about when to fix it. I have a beater truck I can drive, and the car is garage. I just want to know where and how much it cost. This way i won't get scam. Is there places that give warranty after the replacement?

How much will patching cost? What if I buy the top off of ebay, and bring it to a place to install the top? is that cheaper?

The convertible top itself is only $500-700. Add another $600 for labor. You should price the tops if you don't believe me.

And the $500-700 tops are replacement Robbins tops...not OEM. Not that there is anything wrong with the Robbins, but they are slightly different from OEM.

I believe you. I search for "s2000 top" and saw it in the range you specified. I dont know what type of cloth to buy though. Would it be better with stayfast? Also i need to retint the glass window again.
