Ebay Hardtops

I don't think it would be too difficult to take on and off. Hope this helps.

After trying many methods, I think i have one that will work for you.

Tape the inside of your top a good six inches in length making sure to cover the full duration of the movement of the internal top support bar. Let the gash stay "open" from the top and fill with vinyl adhesive, using the tape as a "back." Paint the vinyl adhesive (once dried) with a black paint marker. Use the adhesive to score all edges of the tape on the interior of the car.

Why is everyone paying so much for soft tops? Hardtopguy sells OEM honda ones with the glass window for $800 http://hardtopguy.com/store/product.php?pr...1&cat=11&page=1

If i run this through claim, do you think they will increase my insurance. My underwriter from state farm say it wouldn't because the claim is under comprehensive, not collision. But I'm not sure if I can believe my underwriter. Any suggestion if i should claim this on my insurance?

State farm will only increase your rates if you do the damage. Just tell them that is was vandalism and they will not raise. I just went through this about 3 months ago. They replaced my top, all I paid was my deductible. Just make sure they use OEM parts, some shitty bodyshops will use aftermarket parts to gain more profit from the job. I work for a certified state farm bodyshop in kissimmee. Just check with your state farm rep and he'll recomend a certified shop in the area. Hope this helps.

will the ap2 style with glass window work/fit on the framing from an AP1??

I just checked my top last night after I heard a popping noise while descending and I now have two wear holes on the sides and now a nice huge crack in my vinyl window = time for new top

A robbins top is a good option but if you are not mechanicly inclined do not try to install it yourself. It took me 8hr to install mine. The duct tape works good but you will eventually want a new top.
