it was a great time. I think we're all in agreement about our 'strategy' next year.

I'm going to suggest that we make contact and stay in touch with the folks at Grassroots Motorsports. They share so much of the lifestyle that most S2ki folks enjoy. I will be buying a subscription within the next few weeks.

Willie Gee ... you may have the best leverage considering who you work for and your location (GRM is located in Ormond Beach). I'm pretty sure that they may be interested in a relationship of some sort with either DME or S2ki.com. Either way ... having them realize a local 'voice' for the community and our interest in promoting GRM may go a long way. Not too mention you're the BSP champ!

Sinsin ... don't worry. I've been going to Rolex for more than 15 years now. I've never been disappointed in the atmosphere or the racing. Daytona has plenty to offer for a fun weekend.

Thanks. I've been having fun with it. Took 650 pics and about 100 came out. Gotta work on consistancy.

i actually did pretty well with most of my pics. But, then again i'm easy to satisfy (you pervs stay away from that! )

For some reason the night-time lighting is what makes my camera 'blur' the most. I think my shudder speed isn't fast enough. Daytime shots seem to do pretty well.

One day i'll stop borrowing my friends DSLR and get one of my own ... and then study-up on how to use it properly.

My pics turned out pretty good for a $60 point and shoot. I had SOOO much fun. Thank you Scott for showing me around and giving me a place to stay. Thank you martin and the whole gang for providing fire and a place to hang out. I cant wait for next year.

Ohh and BTW, just for anyone trying it... The passenger side of the S is much better to sleep in than the drivers side

ugh ... my back hurts just hearing that.

dood ... you could have knocked on my window and i would have let you in. Dad doesn't have a dog or a gun ... just that damn screeching bird!

I'll try to burn a few CD's of the pics i have and pass them out at the next meet. I'm really looking forward to the pics that Jason got ... having a press pass gave him incredible access ... and a great DSLR too.

Of course ... my pics of the truck running into the RV are the most priceless

Thanks for the kind words.

Someone's motorhome parked next to us put a small scratch on Jason's trailer. As for next year, we hope to get more s2ki folks there - we have a great place, we'll have all the amenities the GRM folks do, except that parking is an issue. A nice place to sleep, get out of the weather, beer, food....

I'll post a link to my/Jason pics later this week

Nothing that ruined the weekend. But, a race team transport driver was pulled into an RV spot next to the Jasons RV. Evidently all the transporters were to be outside the track ... but this guy decided he'd just keep pulling into RV spots hoping the rightful owners wouldn't show up. Total a$$. He was trying to back out of the spot and hit the 'slide-out' part of Jasons RV. Nothing too bad ... but still the fact that he didnt' even get out to check it out was the real crappy part. Thankfully a camera was around when it went down. Looks like he clipped my car too.

We have all his info and will be making claims against his insurance shortly.
