not sure about this year ... but i think the SCCA contact person (for those interested in working) was Gloria Theen. Anyone know if that has changed?

Looks like they are still in need of workers, and it looks like Rich Kasson is the contact. Here's the link, scroll down a bit and there are details: CFR-SCCA

wow ... that is strange. I remember always being on a list to work the event! It really is a great time and the least expensive way to enjoy the race (FREE ... including some food )

I suggest it to anyone who really enjoys being close to racing and on a budget

No kidding. This was always a coveted event with a waiting list for people wanting to work. I've contemplated going to corner worker school to be able to attend for free...
9 more days!

Do you know what time they kick you out of the garages after night practice? If you are up for it come by the trailer, we'll be arriving Thursday about noon. Spot #510, exit of the east horseshoe, look for a Puma trailer and a Red F250. I know they want us to be quiet after 10pm, but last year we were the only people!

it's nice that they have that new West tunnel which now allows the 'campers' to stay for overnight starting on Thursday!

The years before that required everyone to make a 'mad dash' to get set up on Friday night late or Saturday morning early.

I can't believe that it's only a week away! This year will be really special for me

Yes! One more week! I'm so ready...

I hadn't thought about it, but you're right, the addition of the new tunnel was when they started allowing camping for the entire event. We got to where we left the truck in the infield to save our spot for the race...
