Default Rubbing Issues with New Springs

After spending the weekend lowering my car I now have rubbing issues that weren't corrected with a camber increase in the rear. After speaking with Bill and Riley they suggested that I cut the bolt off of the rear bumper that is inside the rear fender wells. Is there a way to prevent from having to do this? I have 3.5 degrees camber on each side in the rear and .6 each side in front.

Any suggestions would be great.

Clint.

Clint...what size rear tire are you running on those Rota wheels?

Hate to say, but you might have to choose between the lowering springs and those wheels if the offset on the rear is only +40.

Well this is the same setup that chad was using on hi car and we called him today and he says that he didn't rub at all and was willling to trade me back my stock wheels.

We are running 255's, we are going to try 245's and see if that helps at all but if not its begining to look like our options will be to trade back wheels or break the tab and bolt off that holds the rear bumper to the fender. That is the only place that we are rubbing though.

Just looked up the offsets, they are +48 all the way around.

The weird thing about the situation is that I had zero rubbing after receiving an alignment.

I told Clint what to ask for and they gave him the same specs as mine, which is/was -3.5 camber in the rear and as close to stock toe/caster (sp?). The only time that I rubbed after that was going over large speedbumps or going over large dips in the road where there was a large change in road elevation.

I was thinking that maybe our cars just have different suspension geometry somehow, as not all cars are the same (don't quote me on that, just something I was thinking). As it was mentioned, I offered to swap back wheels/tires or we can just swap rear tires and see if it helps.

I'll be calling you guys later on tonight to see what the status on things is. Hope we can figure this all out.

i believe there werent any issues with your setup chad. you seem like an awesome guy. plus, we're not broken up right now so i cant really be mad at you.

im just upset about the whole situation right now. i dont know why i cant get this stuff to work right on my car.

the rubbing is constant. just driving down the road theres rubbing every few SECONDS. im just afraid something is going to get more messed up than it is now. trying our hand at fender 'rolling' didnt turn out incredibly awful but im somewhat anal when it comes to imperfections on my car (with all there are on mine im sure its hard to tell) and the two wrinkles i have on my fender now are driving me insane. and having the unrelated paint chipping issues we had to go talk to honda about today arent helping either.

i just dont want to do much more 'ghetto rigging' I.E. cutting tabs and bolts off my car. were looking at prices on tires right now so hopefully that will help. if not im going to go crazy!

<3chad nonetheless.

Go with the 245 and try that.

What width rim? I ran a 8.5 with +48 and it tucked inside the quarter without rubbing with a 245.

Sorry to hear of the issues and sorry I wasn't available to lend a hand. We didn't get back from Orlando till pretty late Sunday.

Hopefully you guys will get it worked out sooner than later.
