Default So I had an accident at work.

Thursday while lodaing one of our paint trucks I was standing on top of the platform while the guy I was working with was looking in a side bin for a knife, it was taking him a while so I suggested that he remove his sunglasses so he could see better. This is where it alll happened. He took off his glasses and went to put them on top of his head just as I (standing above him) bent over to look into the bin. The earpiece of the glasses went straight up my nose so far that I felt it just below my eye. I immediately began gushing blood and soon realized that this is no ordinary nosebleed.

Off to the urgent care where I am turned away and told to go to the ER. Along this trip I consumed an entire roll of paper towels trying to keep the blood off my trucks interior. Get to the ER and am rushed right in and they begin working on me. Turns out that I have a lacerated sinus which they can exactly see cuase the blood was flowing soo fast. They packed my nose with this thing that inflates to put pressure on from the inside and I have to go see an ENT on monday morning.

I'm pretty concerned since I am experiancing some numbness and tingling along my upper gumline, and the swelling in the are is causing quite a bit of pain. Anyhow that just how my luck goes.

Holy C_AP. Of all the dumb luck stories. It is possible that the pressure is pressing on a nerve, hence the numbness. I would make sure you see the ENT doc ASAP.

Well, first off thanks for the well wishes and funny comments. Infection is beginning to set in and I believe there may be some nerve damage as my upper left teeth are numb and my face is feeling weakened on that side. I have an appointment with an ENT in the morning to get this packing removed and I'll find out what the prognosis is from there. Wish me luck I can't wait to get this smelly ass shit out of my nose! 

wow, that is quite a story. Hopefully, the numbness is temporary from the swelling and the packing.

Hope you feel better soon

I had some nerve damage form surgery on my neck, it takes a long time for the nerves to heal. Be patient... pun intended..........
