Does Autopower make a good one for our cars?

Had one before in my EG. Good quality

nvrquit4, how tall are you?

Apparently I need to take out the roll hoops and center console for the harness bar to sit correctly in my s. This is going to induce some serious suckage. My car is for daily driving, it'd blow to have all that interior missing. so I'd really hate to have to restart and go back to to all factory after all of this hype. If anyone has a solution let me know or else I'll just suck it up and start tearin ish out. Thanks.

5' 9" The seats and rails I have lower me at least another inch or more.

As you can see I kept all of my interior but I also paid a bit more for the bar so I could keep it that way. I've had the S just over 8 years now and she was a daily for the first 5 but I still like the stock look for non-track days thus the extra expense. My understanding is that a "true" harness bar would have a slightly different design that would have required the removal of the center consol. When I visited Hard Dog around October 2007 I think they were working on a different bar design that would not only work around the console but drop the attachment points behind each seat. Don't quote me on that though. Anyone that knows me knows I'm not mechanically inclined so I may have misunderstood.

I'm not a diehard tracker - just 2-4x/year when possible but I've gone extra on the safety components such as the bar, 6-pt harnesses, good seats, extinguisher, HANS devise, etc. Not that anyone wants to get hurt but I got a wife and kids I need to make it back home to and I prefer the 2 mile + tracks (chinmotorsports.com), etc. so we're getting up to some decent speeds.

Hope that helps.

Well, I'd like to go with a solution that gives me a safe setup and still keeps the interior. I was asking because I saw that you have the hard dog along with your console. Tom was telling me about how the harness bar is supposed to be set and it would require removing all of that.

That describes me perfectly - I'm also looking for some supplemental safety for A/X, a few events a year (probably Roebling), that allows me to keep everything factory (top, interior components, etc.)
