Let me know if I can help arrange anything for you guys coming over. I can recommend hotels to stay at or away from, etc. as well as a fairly well stocked garage, just in case! I live a block from the beach and just south of 'the strip'.

M6682, sorry I did not make it over last week. Tax season has me tied up, and my allergies are kickin. Let me know on those Volk CE28n's when you get a chance. I've been talking with Evo and R&D, but would spend the money locally if we can work out a deal.

Oh, and I heard a certain turbo'd S from the West Coast (fla) may be here too...

The car events will be centered around the Ocean Center, right on A1A, across from the beach and the Adam's Mark hotel. The Ocean Center is our county convention center, and home of the Spring Break National Car Stereo Event. I believe one of the car mags, maybe Super Street, makes it's home at the Plaza Resort, just north of the Ocean Center.

Based on the fact that I have lived in Daytona Beach for over 30 years, I would recommend that you avoid staying at the Plaza Resort, or any of the affiliated Oceans Resorts properties . I have heard unflattering things about their rooms, although they look nice from the outside.

Any other questions I will try to answer for you guys...

yes, although they closed a section off to traffic a few years ago due to economic reasons (big hotel developers wanted a traffic free section behind their developments). And as long as the turtle and shore-bird huggers leave the rest of the beach alone (they all happen to have nice houses on the beach and want to keep traffic off "their" beach, too, but for "environmental reasons" ) we will continue to enjoy beach driving.

Bring sunblock for top down cruising, and you guys can use my driveway for a proper after-beach car wash!

And when you park on the beach, park facing away from the ocean. Salt spray and sand in radiators are bad.
