Suspension question
Hey guys I am thinking about changing my suspension! I just recently moved to louisville kentucky, for dental school, where the roads are terrible in the city, and much more curvier outside of the city! I currently have Koni yellows with espelir springs. I am on a budget for sure but I dont want to have to think about upgrading the suspension again anytime soon. I was thinking since I already have the konis I could get the ground control kit for them and that would at least give me some height adjustability. Those are around $380, But I could justify spending more, under $1000, for a set of coilovers. So my question is what is the main diferences between the two setups, konis with ground controls or a full set of coilovers? I have been looking at the megan coilovers and honestly any others in my budget so any feedback on those would be a great help!
thanks
Alex

If you're going for a custom setup, then I would say stick with the Koni's. I say custom meaning that you pick your own spring rates. Now if you do that, the only proper thing to do is to revalve your Koni's to the spring rates you get. I had this on my old Civic I use to race and it was the bomb.
My S2000 currently has Buddy Club N+ Coilovers. Now I went with this setup mainly because I wanted a great street car. Civic was basically a race car that I drove on the street. Not fun.
With the coilovers I noticed that it was a much more comfortable ride. They had matched the shock and spring perfectly.
So the answer to your question, I would go with coilovers. You can go with a set of off the shelf ground controls and not revalve the Konis, but it wouldn't be as nice of a ride as a set of coilovers.
Buddy Club N+ is made for the street BTW

Alex!! Buddy ... i was starting to worry about ya!
Sorry you couldn't stay closer for school ... we're finally doing meets locally.
GC adjustables with an adjustable shock (rebound and damp) should help. But, you are driving an S2000 ... so, it may not be that drastic of a difference.

Im actually in kentucky so i dont know about meeting up! I am thinking about just putting the stock springs back on with the konis just to get some more height I think that will be the most finacially sound way!
