I left the lab early and did a recon this afternoon. I think if we get there early enough we could find a place on the USF campus to stage or even off of fourth street down near the Dali Museum. Another alternative with lots of room is the Tropicana Field Parking Lot which is far enough away to be empty at that time and close enough to blast right in, down fifth avenue south.....I am leaning toward that one because it is a landmark that is easy to find with lots of room.

I could see some great photo ops durring the golden hour in front of the dome.

Any thoughts from the group?

 

dont know my way around the area at all so whatever is the easiest place to find...preferably in a place that doesnt require anyone involved to have to drive too far out of the way...

 

Tropican field is right off of I275.....you can't miss it from the highway. From there it is about 8 blocks to the track.

Tropicana Field sounds like a great meeting spot for Sunday morning. Everyone there by 8am? or it may depend on what time they want us there. We may need to see what Shay says.

I think this thread and the one stickied shoudl be sufficient. Any chance you can google map the address of the Tropicana field for us out of towners? I just sleep better with a map.

Tropicana Field sounds good... We could probably get some SWEET shots of the cars in the HUGE empty lot in front of the dome!!

Someone needs to check first that the parking lot isn't being used for shuttle parking... It's a huge lot, not far from the track.... Good chance it IS being used... Just a thought...

EDIT: Just checked...

Tropicana Field IS BEING USED for the park and ride...

$10 per car starting at 7 AM...

Oh well... How bout somewhere a little farther out...
