After much intense deliberation I believe that it is time that we, the residents of Southwest Florida, stand up for a change. I have long contemplated the complexities of our unfortunate location in relation to the existing forums on S2ki. The prevailing bureaucratic dictators of this great site have beset the state of Florida with but three forums: Florida, West Florida, and South Florida.

We, the S2000 owners and enthusiasts of Southwest Florida, have the tendency to associate primarily with the Florida forum, even though Florida has overwhelmingly been controlled by the Central Floridians. Through the unity of Tampa and Orlando these individuals have managed to monopolize the forum, along with their stronghold of the great

Honestly, I'm with ya. I've already begged for a swfl forum and we obviously aren't getting that. So, I'd say at least give someone down here some authority to slap people around.

I think we just need someone to hold accountable for organizing our great community we are starting to develop down here.

I second that! You certainly put forth the most effort in bringing things together!

May be an ignorant observation, but why would the "powers that be" care about creating another, more localized sub-forum? The reality is that both Miami and central Florida already have well-organized groups but it's impractical for us to join them on any kind of regular basis.

Not sure I understanding 100% what Scott is saying, but I'm with ya....I think.

Although my rambling sarcasm seemed to overrun the original topic, somewhere in there I was trying to make a point... I personally think we should try to migrate over to the South Florida forum. I believe it makes more sense that we hang out there. Our geographic location is "South Florida" and we are generally a lot closer to the rest of the guys in the South Florida forum than we are to the rest of the Florida forum. Their forum seems to be less strict, less uptight, and generally less whiny than the Florida Forum; all of which seems to suit our crowd a lot better anyway. Finally, and FWIW, I feel like we have a decent opportunity to get a CO in that forum. DEVIOUS FOR CO!

Sorry for putting you guys through that initial thread; like Devious said, it was a rough day.

For now, I'm off to jack a South Florida badge for my sig...
