The guy on the show "24" that is a modern day McGyver.
I dont know how well Jack Bauer can make and IED using windex and a stick of bubble gum like MacGyver, but, he sure can whoop that ass if he needs to (or shot your Significant Other in the leg HAHAHA). JB is my new hero.

Regarding the tailights. I agree with MacGyver, i have heard nothing but hardship and difficulty regarding popping those bad boys open. Damage always seems to follow the attempt.

I would say go ap2 for anew look but there is internal body cutting involved with that so it is a PITA too.

Or go with my taillight LED mod and make the cuts in your taillight assembly, not metal

The painted tail light thing has been done a few times. I have seen pics on the national foram. It looks ok but to me not worth the aggravation I would go with the AP2 tail lights

Here is the update for the tail light painting. Got the first on opened. Not to bad-bake at 225 degrees for 15 minutes got it half way opened and back in the oven for another seven minutes to get the rest of it open. One person job with no gloves. Just to see if it can be done. Called to painter and it will be two weeks before it goes to paint. I had to reassemble to tail light assembly so I can drive the car done there. For reassembly-back to the oven for about seven minutes and it went back like butter. My only concern is when it does get painted it might show a little sealant around the out side corner. For those of you who don't know or remember I hit a deer on Thanksgiving night. Had some issues with color matching-silver is a bear. So that when I decided to go a little crazy and get the whole car repainted. I only drive it about once a week mainly to relax a little. While it's at paint I will get the front and back lights painted, plate plugs removed and filled, front badge removed and holes filled in, OEM spoiler-Not the Wing type. Going with JDM clear diffusers and side lights, and a black and silver JDM badge for the trunk. Will be removing the side badges also for a clean look. I know not very radical mods but something a little different.
