I always liked the halogen work lights from home depot or whereever.... the big flood lights work well

Autogeek also sells the 3M sun gun, but is probably out of your price range for the moment.

I have the brinkmann myself, as does a detailing friend of mine. we also have a set of 1000 watt halogens on a tri-pod.
