I personally don't see a need, but my car is not a daily driver and it's garage kept. I'm sure those who don't have a garage and those who have had things stolen will have a differant opinion.

I think its a good way to help fight back against crime.. As fellow S2k owners, it should not matter if our car is in the garage or on the street.. any info that can help to catch some thieves would be great.. I vote on YES>>>

At a minimum make sure you have good insurance. Read your policy if you have work in the car to be sure it is covered.

I haven't had a problem with theft, and I park in a garage. So, I'm probably in a lower risk category, but I don't think anyone is in a No Risk category.

Maybe an idea would be to use the Google Maps API to at least plot it on a map and keep track of where these things are happening... The Google Maps API is decently easy to do. I just threw one up for an example. To add markers you only need to have the link from maps.google.com of the location. You could also add information in there like date, time, what was taken, etc.. Check it out:

I think we should use S2ki as a tool to help our fellow S2k people that got rubbed.. the internet is a great tool and if we all join and help out.. maybe we can catch these theives..

It doesnt matter if your car is under 10 feet of Rock and has Lasers protecting it.. If i can ever help out someone else that got robbed I am all in .. that is what i think
