I have a nice set of 17" BBS RGRs for it and thought the lower stance would make the wheels pop better. Thanks for the feedback guys and on the TEIN springs Jeff

Where did you find those wheels?

I searched everywhere for them a few years ago and could only find 3 new ones in the entire country with no guarantee I could ever get the 4th. The had them all day long in 18" but 17's were impossible to get.

These are my second set of RGRs, the first set was on the blue S before I got the Simmons race wheels. My first set I got for a killer deal, $500 plus my stock AP1 wheels. The set I have now has a new set of Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires
When I see you I will tell you how I got them

Nice but you need a glass back window lol. I have MY00 and swapped my rear sway in favor of the CR unit, what have you done to try and get the rear from being so touchy?

The only change I made was the springs I have no plans to change sway bars. I like the AP1 because it is a drivers car, I like that it keeps you in check Here are the specs on the 2000 rear sway and the C/R rear sway...The 2000 is more thick but the C/R has a stiffer spring rate. I think adding the C/R rear sway would make the car even more tale happy.

2000 S2000 Rear sway bar: 27.2 mm x 5.3 mm.
Spring rate Rear291 lbs/in)

2008/09 C/R Rear Sway bar: 26.5 mm x 4.5 mm.
Spring Rate: (362 lb/in)

As for the top, I'm not sure of the brand but it was installed new just before I bought the car. I'm going to post the new top with frame up for trade in the for sale thread. I want to trade someone for a frame that needs the top to be replaced and just swap with them. It is only a few months old and would be a cheap way for someone to get a new top pretty easy. I can then get a new factory top installed on the frame I trade for.

From the info I have the MY00-01 had the largest sway bars and rates with rear bias. The front sway from ours is almost identical to CR so that was why I went with CR rear. Either way swapping the sway has made the car a lot more fun, I can get on the gas sooner in a turn, I can let off the gas in a turn without penalty and just the overall feel is better.

That is some good but conflicting information, my recearch shows a spring rate for the rear sway on the 2000 S to be 291 lb/in and your data shows 427 that is a big difference. Our data is the same for the C/R rear sway spring rates thou....
I may try the C/R rear sway to see how the car feels sine you are happy with it, thanks for the data, where did you get it from?

Not sure where I got it from, I wondered around online doing a lot of reading trying to understand the differences through the years of the S and what could I do to make my S a bit more livable. from what I have gathered, the 00-01 are the most prone to snap over-steer. The issue is caused by a few things such as the rear bias in sway bar and spring rates, change of rear wheel angle during suspension travel and over all weight of the car in the 1st 2 years is lighter (not by much) than all other years. Either way, the CR rear sway made a huge difference in the way the car reacts to my inputs (mistakes). You will be very happy once you swap yours out.

Got the alignment today after letting the car settle for a week and a half. I will put the BBS wheels back on Friday.

Aligment specs are,

-0.61* camber left front -0.63* right front
6.14* and 6.34* caster front
0.00* toe front

-1.88* camber left rear -1.83* right rear
6mm or .024* total toe rear

Car was setup with me sitting in the drivers seat

The setup is between the 08/09 C/R and the UK spec A bit more aggressive than C/R but not as aggressive as UK.
The car feels real good, is not twitchy, and drives very nice
