ticking noise when driving past walls

Maybe its normal and im being paranoid. When i put the stethoscope to the tct there is nothing abnormal

Scary thought; but, kinda sounds like your rod bearings are done. What's the mileage on the motor? I'd say replace the TCT, then go from there. Process of elimination.

87k ive just gotten over the noise. im starting to think its just the way this car sounds and some people are too used to it to hear it. Whats another way to know if rod bearing are done ?

it is normal valve train noise i have the same noise on my car and most s2ks that i have heard have the same noise. i notice it is more loud on cars that have a header for some reason

I think I hear that same noise when I'm inside the car with the windows closed driving. I can hear it when I'm driving but not when I'm on neutral but if I rev the engine I can hear it again. I've heard from some people that the its the normal valve noise as dc says. But, I've also heard that it could mean that the valves need adjustment.
