so your saying instead of a nice paved road. a nice paved parking lot is better.

therefore, a autoX is a better place than a road course?

granted yes. autoX is the best "legal" racing. but this is no mans lands. i can go and do whatever. when im ready for some organization ill check out autox.

my friends who were also in the videos go often, they said i need to go! so its only a matter of time. im sure ill see you guys out there soon!

im just nervous ill forget the track and go off on my own! lol

i really cantw ait to get back and try and get better at that back end sliding out. tho the rain didnt help at all...
I would agree with Blacknot . If you slide off the pavement in the right way you can roll the car on a shoft spot in the grass or dirt . In the autocross environmnt you will not have much chance of hitting anything or damaging the car unless you do something really stupid . I did the FAST event awhile back and want to do another as soon as I can come up with the cash for a new set of Michelins the day after the event .

i know sortarican lives less than 5 minutes away from the compound. He showed it to me and cody when we stayed with him for the autocross. It looked like a lot of fun that I would have loved to play around on before I had the military double standard and a reckless ticket would get me in deep shit.

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a little risk and having fun, especially since there are no houses or little kids to hit. Just make sure you don't go alone and don't try to push it 100% and go for time trials or anything. Just toss the car around and get a feel for it, and go to the next autocross at bcc!

no joke. what a bunch of goody tissues we have here. driving its self is a hazard. accepted risk is in every day life. some just take more risks.

the place we raced at we have been before. we predrove it. walked it. checked everything out. the only dangerous turn was with the palm tree on the right, and the trees on the right

im touched that everyone cares so much about my safety!!

we were plenty safe, i wore my seatbelt if that matters? lol

and yah. its super fun..i drag race my car. i wheelie my motorcycle. i jump off anything i can. im a young man. i enjoy my risks.

^ Nah I'd just rather not see another wrecked s2000. It sounds like you could use some instruction. How exactly do you overheat your tires when its wet? Well it sounds like a fun place anyways!

I agree with JustinsanE, it not a bad thing to have some fun if no one else is at risk besides yourself. But then again this isn't a Civic forum, any flaunting of reckless driving on the streets is gonna catch some flak.

yah i suppose...and yah. they werent really heated up. i mean, they were as there was chunks of tire on the edge...but that spin-out was due to wet conditions.

goody tissues? huh? or do you mean 'goody two-shoes'?

Regardless... yea... thats what we all are here... a bunch of pansies who won't take risks... especially those of us who actually race our cars... buncha losers. We'd all be WAY bigger men by just going out and being reckless with no regard to safety on actual streets... after all, thats the only way to prove to everyone the size of your brass balls...

Calm down dude... you are getting damn good advise here from everyone. Like brownsound said, posting up something like that, which is pretty close to "street racing" (just cause no one is around doesn't mean it isn't street racing... those ARE residential streets), you are going to get some flak about it, and several well-intentioned warnings from people who actually DO care.

that's "goody two shoes" by the way. Not "tissues"

Maybe Street encounters is a better place for this thread?

I don't like the local Law reading our forums and following our every move on here. (and there are Cops on this forum, believe me)

Plus, you can actually go to and past the limit of your car and abilities on a closed course with some degree of safety. My guess is you are nowhere near that level messing around in the compound, which is a good thing.

We all take risks, but as you get older those risks become more calculated.

i just bought some goody tissues....

http://www.piloti.com/products/product_det...prod_sku=PR15-5

fact is.. if ya don't own it.. it isn't your yard to play in...

i seldom race my car.. often criuse control my drive so as i bore the hell outta anyone behind me... but.. i do the posted an i don't see anyone other then me paying whatever bills I get or tickets if i were to get...so I pretty much make my rules I follow.. however.. i am proud an honored to have watched several brave club members face certain fun and humor in auto course events...

with that said... be safe.. be careful... be thoughtful of others... and have a nice day...

that's a lot of fun, i'd be worried 'bout if another car was there unknown and was coming the opposite direction on a corner doing the same mini-drifts through the turns...
